The Vidda Foundation was formed in 1979 by Ursula Corning as a primary vehicle for supporting charities in which she had a personal interest. Over nearly a quarter of a century, until her death in 2002, Miss Corning and her fellow trustees guided the work of the Foundation, establishing it as a vital force in philanthropy in the New York City metropolitan area and beyond. The current trustees continue her legacy by dedicating the assets of the Foundation to supporting important work in a variety of areas, as specified in the mission statement.
